Is VargaCoin already Mainnet?
No. The current public chain is the VargaCoin DEV network. It is used for open testing before a separate final Mainnet genesis.
Can anyone mine VargaCoin now?
Yes. Anyone with compatible SHA-256D hardware can run short tests against the public DEV Stratum endpoint. Continuous DEV mining is not required; DEV rewards remain DEV-VARG and do not migrate to Mainnet.
Will my DEV-VARG become Mainnet VARG?
No. DEV blocks and DEV balances do not automatically migrate, swap or credit into Mainnet. Mainnet starts from a new final genesis.
Are DEV blocks deleted at Mainnet launch?
No. The project plans to preserve the DEV chain as a historical read-only archive so early blocks and tests remain verifiable.
When is Mainnet planned?
The target is 30 December 2026 at 18:00 UTC, but launch readiness has priority over the calendar. Critical consensus, wallet or infrastructure issues can delay launch.
Does VARG already have a market price?
No guaranteed or official market price exists. DEV-VARG is test currency. If Mainnet VARG is later traded, price is determined by independent market participants and can fall to zero.
When will VARG be listed on an exchange?
Exchange integration is planned only after a stable Mainnet launch. The project first needs final consensus rules, releases, independent nodes, explorer and integration documentation.
Why are newly mined rewards not immediately spendable?
Coinbase outputs have a maturity requirement. The current DEV implementation requires 100 additional blocks before a mined reward becomes spendable.
What is a WIF?
WIF is an export form of a private key. Anyone who obtains it can control the funds for that key. Never publish it or send it to support.
Why can a miner UI show BTC even when mining VARG?
Some SHA-256 miner firmware labels Bitcoin-compatible block fields as BTC. The authoritative asset and reward are determined by the VargaCoin chain and can be verified in the VargaCoin Explorer.
