WHAT IT PROVES

Proof of existence

A confirmed VargaProof shows that the exact SHA-256 digest was committed to VargaMesh no later than a specific block. If a file hashes to the same digest later, it matches that commitment.

It does not by itself prove authorship, ownership, contractual validity, authenticity of statements inside the file or that nobody possessed the file earlier.
PRIVACY

No document storage

VargaProof does not require the file, filename, email address or document content. The on-chain hash is permanent and public. For highly predictable or low-entropy content, a third party with a candidate file can test whether its hash matches.
